Conversation between me and my son on Sunday.

Son: I can’t find my dark socks.

Me: You’re wearing sweat pants. You don’t wear dark socks with sweat pants.

Son: I wanted to wear my brown dress shoes like you have on.

Me: Those don’t go with your pants. You just need white socks and tennis shoes.

Son disappears upstairs. Returns with slacks on.

Son: I still can’t find my dark socks.

Me: Did you think about that before you changed your pants? You need to go get ready it’s time to leave for church.

He disappears back upstairs.

Son: I found my dark socks.

Me: Where were they?

Son: In my sock drawer.

Me: You didn’t think to look there first?
