I came across this list of actual newspaper ads the other day.

Want Ads

One pair hardly used dentures, only two teeth missing.

Toaster: Great fun for the whole family. Automatically burns toast.

Complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica. Excellent condition. No longer needed. Got married last month. Wife knows everything.

Tombstone: Standard gray. A good buy for someone named Grady.

I’ve been in a funk since late December. It’s not a full blown depression. But it’s hard to think. Hard to be creative. I’ve not felt like I’ve had anything to write. I had vowed to start writing again by February 1st. You see how that went. I still don’t feel as if I’ve come out of my funk yet, but I feel like I’m approaching the end of the tunnel.

In any event, I’ve decided to start writing again. We’ll see how it goes.
